Dr. Nathan
Veterinarian
Dr. Nathan attended Ross University and has been a practicing veterinarian for the last 17 years. Dr. Nathan prides himself on his education and on earning the trust of clients in order to better take care of their pets. In his free time, he loves spending time with his children and wife in the great outdoors.
Dr. Melissa
Veterinarian
Dr. Melissa Metz has been working in veterinary medicine for the last 17 years. She attended Clemson University and Ross Veterinary School. She prides herself on treating her patients with respect and compassion, as well as restoring true wellness in her patients. In her free time, she can be found spending quality time with her family, gardening, bicycling, playing pickleball, reading, or enjoying the outdoors.

Jennifer
Practice Manager
Jennifer has been working in the veterinary field for the last 17 years. She attended school at Rhodes State. She prides herself on her client/patient relationships. In her spare time, she can be found enjoying time with her family.
Josalyn
RVT
Josalyn attended Columbus State and has been practicing in veterinary medicine for the last 3 years. She prides herself on creating relationships between clients and patients as well as enhancing client education. In her free time, she can be found traveling, spending time outdoors, or spending time with her family.
Sydney
RVT
Sydney completed her externship with us through Sinclair College at the Shawnee location. She impressed us, and she has agreed to come on board with the Metz Petz team! Sydney had been working in the Shawnee location as a Veterinary Assistant. Sydney is now a Registered Veterinary Technician!
Elisa
Veterinary Assistant
Elisa has dedicated herself to veterinary medicine for three years, finding joy in helping animals fully recover from illness or injury. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with her cats and Chihuahua.
Zoie
Veterinary Assistant
Zoie is new to the veterinary field and is currently working toward her Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) degree. She shares her home with five pets: Hazel, a Vizsla; Milo, a Yorkiepoo; Teiko, a bearded dragon; Gizmo, a skinny pig; and Maple, a guinea pig.
In her free time, Zoie enjoys working out, hiking, watching movies, cooking and baking, and competing in Spartan races. Her favorite part about working at Metz Petz is the supportive and welcoming team — it truly feels like a great work environment.

Receptionist
Denise has been with Metz Petz for the last 6 years. Denise prides herself on her calm, helpful, friendly attitude. She tried her best to answer all questions and concerns. In her free time, Denise enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, enjoying retired life, and working part-time at the best veterinary clinic!

Nate
Lead Kennel Assistant
Nate has been working in veterinary medicine for the last 7 years, after completing the ABC veterinary assistance program. He prides himself on making sure all animals are comfortable during their stay with the clinic. In his free time, he loves to travel, play music, and bond with his dogs.
Laura
Kennel Assistant / CSR
Laura graduated from the University of Findlay in 2014 with a B. S. in Animal Science. She’s been working with animals for the last 6 years. She prides herself on taking care of boarded pets the same way she would take care of her own pets at home. In her free time, Laura loves doing anything creative.
